Songwriting has become an important part of my musical activity and my life. I began writing songs in the early 70`s, back in the folk music "era". My brother Brant.N.Miller is a wonderful country and bluegrass songwriter , living in Nashville, and he has been great inspiration to me. throughout the years.
We have written many songs together, for example "Can`t Break A Broken Heart" on my"Gentle Fire"cd.. He also wrote "Somewhere Under The Rainbow" on "Cowgirls" cd , "Girls Night Out". One of my heroes as a songwriter is John Prine. I have recorded quite a few of his songs:

It was a wonderful experience singing the duet "I JUST WANNA DANCE WITH YOU" with John on my "Country Roots" cd.He is the master of songwriting in my opinion, mixing serious subjects with intelligent wit, and touching the listener`s heart os well as their funny bone. I have written with some of Nashville`s best songwriters including Rick Giles, Layng Martine. Jr and David Kent and have learned so much by doing so. In Denmark, a songwriting community has been growing in the last 10 years, thanks to the efforts of songwriting organizations such as DJBFA, people like Frank Marstokk who have organized "SONG ISLAND" which is a type of seminar and workshop where songwriters from Denmark and the international songwriting community get together and work intensively.

I have had the pleasure of writing with Ivan Pedersen "IT WAS ONLY YOU" (Pleasure and Pain), Poul Krebs and Henning Kvitnes. during the Song Island workshops. Brett Perkins is an American songwriter who regularly visits Denmark and organizes songwritng workshops and showcases. He has been very active and should be thanked here for his energy and dedication to stimulating songwriting.

My son, Noah Rosanes, is one of my songwriting partners and we have written several songs for my cds. "GUEST OF MANY FACES"(Gentle Fire) "RUN WITH THE WIND" (With Strings) "RIDE ON" (Cowgirls) Noah released cd in 2001 "SARANOAH" which is a duo consisting of him and Sara Grabow., It is beautiful acoustic music in Danish, very original.
